Composition of India’s merchandise export Basket
The merchandise exports of India are broadly classified into four
categories viz. manufactured goods, Ores & minerals, Farm Products, Crude
Oil and Petroleum products. We note here that manufactured goods are backbone
of India’s Merchandise exports. In Merchandise exports too, the share of Gems
and Jewellery is maximum.
